27 de Agosto – Manaus à Boa Vista

Rodamos um pouco por Manaus parando para conhecer alguns de seus pontos turísticos, dentre eles o Teatro Amazonas. Após realizarmos o tour pelo teatro, experimentamos o prato típico da região, o tacacá. Passamos o final de tarde por lá esperando anoitecer e curtimos até música ao vivo na praça.

Durante o dia, havíamos entrado em contato com o Claudio do Jeep Clube Amazonas e fomos convidados para o encontro semanal deles. Foi uma noite bem divertida e fizemos várias novas amizades. Gostaríamos de agradecer a atenção e carinho de todos. Obrigado também ao Wilson e sua família por nos acolher. Valeu Pessoal!

No dia seguinte, enfrentamos a BR174 a caminho de Roraima e sua capital Boa Vista, passando pela Reserva Indígena Waimiri-Atroari. Paramos rapidamente na região de Presidente Figueiredo e conhecemos a Cachoeira Iracema e suas grutas ao redor. Seguimos viagem e durante nossa travessia pela reserva, vimos alguns animais, dentre eles um macaco diferente de pés amarelados, o qual ainda não conseguimos identificar. Ao escurecer, pedimos para pernoitar em uma fazenda ao lado da estrada, o pessoal foi super bacana e autorizou.

Partimos cedo na manhã seguinte e chegamos a Boa Vista no início da tarde. Já tínhamos marcado com nosso amigo Loras e após nos encontramos, fomos até sua casa onde ficamos durante nossa estada. À noite, saímos com uma galera bem bacana e saboreamos um delicioso tambaqui (peixe típico da região).

No final de semana fomos ao Tepequém com o Loras e a Carol, sua namorada. Logo de cara, tivemos uma surpresa inesperada ao vermos um tamanduá-bandeira na beira da estrada. A próxima parada foi em uma barraca de estrada onde experimentamos a paçoca, uma farinha com charque, servida em um saquinho plástico. Já no Tepequém, andamos um pouco pela vila, fomos conhecer uma cachoeira e deu tempo até de ir a um mirante, onde vimos araras vermelhas no final de tarde.

Preparamos um bom café da manhã com direito a panquecas, frutas, cereais e tudo mais. Nosso objetivo hoje era percorrer a trilha até o Sr. Cuia, um senhor já de idade, dos mais antigos garimpeiros da região, que leva uma vida simples bem afastado da vila. Fomos todos no carro do Loras e após enfrentarmos alguns trechos ruins da trilha e termos cruzado com algumas pessoas que ainda acreditam no garimpo, chegamos ao local.

Aproveitamos para fazer uma pequena caminhada ao topo do morro, onde se tem toda a vista da serra. Um lugar bem bacana! Retornamos e fomos conversar com o Sr. Cuia e ouvir suas estórias. Ele ofereceu um cafezinho e começou a contar seus “causos”, um mais interessante que o outro, especialmente com seu entusiasmo. Por ele viver num lugar afastado, quase não recebe visitas, por isso ele adora quando alguém vai até lá. Deu vontade de ficar lá horas ouvindo tudo . . .

Nos despedimos e iniciamos o trajeto de volta, que não foi nada fácil! Em um trecho não teve jeito e recorremos ao guincho. Além disso, usamos a técnica de colocar o estepe no lugar do buraco para diminuir o aclive, o que funcionou muito bem. Após várias tentativas, finalmente saímos do buraco com sucesso! Confessamos que gostamos de ver uma Toyota atolada, e ainda registrar o momento, mas nos divertimos bastante para desatolá-la. (Que tal voltar para o mundo da Landy, Loras?). Se bem que temos que assumir que o Snoopy atolaria também!

Foi um final de semana bem bacana e conhecemos mais um cantinho desse nosso Brasil. Loras e Carol, muito obrigado pela companhia e acolhida, além da amizade. Valeu Mesmo!
